After qualifying in the District Cross Country competition, Cabrini Senior Lauren Klemm and Freshman Sydnie Newton competed in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)’s National Championships Cross Country meet December 3, 2016 in Tallahassee, FL for the Southeast Louisiana Roadrunners track club. In the individual competition, Klemm and Newton each placed in the Top 25 runners for their 17-18 and 15-16 age groups, respectively. Both young ladies are from Jefferson Parish.
