Christmas wish granted! First drive through coffee shop now open on Eastbank of New Orleans

We’ve had drive-through daiquiri shops for years but now New Orleanians finally have a drive-through coffee shop on the eastbank.

Now open for business: a 1640-square-foot CCs store that offers the full-line of CCs coffees, teas and pastries; employs 18 young men and women and can serve up to 14 cars at an estimated three-minutes per order at peak times at its drive-through window. There are also 10 parking spaces for those who wish to linger longer, as well as an outdoor patio.

The new coffee shop cost approximately $750,000 to construct and will be a good neighbor for the United Medical Center, the Veterans Affairs Medical Complex, Warren Easton High School, and even the Catholic Convent in the area.

“In a city that invented the drive-through Daiquiri shop, it makes no sense that there were no drive-through coffee shops on this side of the river. We expect 70 percent of our business will come from the drive-through window,” said co-owner Nicole Marullo.

Anthony Marullo is the owner/operator of the French Market Restaurant at 1001 Decatur St. in the French Quarter. His wife will supervise the day-to-day operations of the CC’s facility. The pair is considering opening more CCs drive-through shops in Gentilly, east New Orleans and the Carrollton area and thanked Councilwoman LaToya Cantrell and the New Orleans City Council for making this opening possible. Mr. Marullo and his wife are available for interviews by calling (504) 957-2269 or 289-0499.
