St. Bernard Parish Animal Shelter staff participated in Jefferson Parish’s 2016 PetFest held in Lafreniere Park and what a great event it was! Volunteers from Friends of the Animal Shelter; Laura Cooper, Essie Erato and Laurie Hosli along with Shelter Manager Charlotte Luna and Kennel Manager Donna Miller spent the day talking with countless people and showing the shelter’s dogs. Six shelter babies found wonderful families. “We couldn’t have asked for better homes for our dogs that were there that day seeking adoption,” said Shelter Manager Charlotte Luna. The staff had visits from past adopters stopping by to say hello and show off their babies that they adopted at past events. Adopted that day at PetFest were Bennie, Honey, Simon, Billie, Cody and Copper. Thanks to all who helped make the event a wonderful day!
