Bess Perez Gray, age 77, was called to eternal life on January 4, 2017. Beloved wife of Thomas Paul Gray, Sr.
Loving mother of Gina Gray Nolen (James), Cherie Gray Palermo (Anthony “Trae”), Thomas P. Gray, Jr. (Roxanne), and John E. Gray, Sr. (Nancy).
Proud Grandmother of Jared Nolen, Justin Nolen, Brandon P. Ledet (CC), Brianna Palermo Sparnecht (Chris), Thomas P. Gray, III (Christen Miranda), Tristan Gray, Holly Gray, John E. Gray, Jr., Josh Gray, and two great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her devoted sister Margie Montelongo, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Perez and Marie Polkey Perez, and her siblings August Perez, Ronald “Arthur” Perez, Leland “Lee” Perez, Tessie Perez Ticker, and Ralph “Peto” Perez.
Bess was a lifetime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She enjoyed a career as the marketing director of Ferncrest Manor Living Center, St. Catherine Memorial Hospital, and St. Charles Parish Hospital. She was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a friend of many.
Relatives, friends, and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation to be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 2621 Colonial Blvd, Violet, LA, on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will begin at noon. Please join the family for refreshments at The Abby Rose, 2900 Oakridge Blvd., Violet, LA 70092, at 1:00 p.m.
