Masked Reader at the St. Bernard Parish Library main branch

Everyone is in the midst of Mardi Gras madness and the St. Bernard Parish Library wants to add to the merriment. Second line your way to the library for a special Tales on Tuesday story time on February 21st at 5:30 p.m. at the library’s main branch, 2600 Palmisano Blvd., in Chalmette. The hour-long program will feature ‘Masked Reader’ Annette Dugan. Ms. Dugan will share one of her favorite
Carnival stories, Lil’ Yat & Friends Mardi Gras by Rhonda Johnson Valladares. Library friends will also learn some purple, green and gold trivia and hear Ms. Janet’s zany parade safety tips.

Participants will be able to ‘make and take’ a Mardi Gras mask to wear as they parade around the library lobby. Dedicated parade goers are invited to get creative by making their own shoebox float at home to bring to the library’s program to make the event more even more festive.

Tales on Tuesdays storytime sessions are free and open to the public. All materials needed for the ‘make and take’ craft will be provided. For more information, please stop by the library at 2600 Palmisano Blvd., call us at 504-279-0448, visit our website at www.mysbpl.org or like us on Facebook.
