36 cancer survivor role models will go “heel to heel” on stage against professional models in a runway show competition. All of the cancer survivor participants have previously received professional runway and modeling training through the You Night cancer survivor empowerment program, and will be showing off their skills and confidence.

Since 2013, You Night has helped survivors adapt to – and embrace – their life after cancer. You Night is a year-round program that addresses the emotional and mental issues that women experience after a cancer diagnosis. The unique goal-oriented program creates fun and empowering group experiences for women who are looking for a sisterhood of support. The signature program is a six-month curriculum that teaches cancer survivors how to overcome the physical and psychological challenges of cancer treatment through teamwork, coaching, and runway skills training… all while they build strong interpersonal bonds with other survivors. This very public display of confidence helps other women who are battling the impact of cancer, to encourage them to fight strong. Over 200 cancer survivors in St. Tammany and New Orleans have taken part in the You Night curriculum, a program that is available in select cities, including St. Tammany Parish and New Orleans. The You Night program is gifted to participants who are referred to the program through physicians, and is completely funded through sponsorship and event ticket sales.
ADDITIONAL EVENT INFORMATION: “Battle of the Models” will be followed by a couture “Eloquent Productions” fashion show featuring professional models from Chic Nouvelle and Positive Image Modeling Agency. The Eloquent Productions show will feature collections from Gwen’s Bridal, Keno Kouture, SSecondSSkin, Real Gunkie, and Linda Bezuidenhout.
CELEBRITY JUDGES AND STYLIST: Celebrity stylist and designer Linda Bezuidenhout, stylist of Real Housewives of Atlanta and of Fox’s new drama “Star” will be styling models backstage. Our judging panel will be announced in April.
