St. Bernard Parish Animal Shelter, located at 5455 E. Judge Perez Drive in Violet is open on Saturdays for adoptions. Saturday hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The new schedule is to accommodate those who cannot get to the shelter during regular business hours. The regular business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This new schedule will make our shelter more accessible.
Off-site adoptions.
J&B Feed Store serves as an off-site adoption site for the St. Bernard Animal Shelter. The feed store, located at 8213 E. St. Bernard Highway in St. Bernard, houses animals that are ready for adoption. Adoptions are held at their store on Thursdays and Fridays.
