Robin Austin Ford passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the age of 59. She was the beloved mother of Brandon M. Ford. Sister of Thomas E. Austin, III. Devoted sister-in-law of Carol B. Austin. Proud grandmother of Gabriella Nicole Ford and Lyla Rose Ford. Loving Nanny of Devin Thomas Austin and Jared Louis Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas E. Austin, Jr. and Lorraine Schmitt Austin; and her cherished daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Ford. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many relatives, cousins and dear friends.
Robin was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish until she settled in Picayune, MS following hurricane Katrina. She was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal mother, grandmother, sister and a friend of many, who loved her cats and treasured her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, May 15th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Robin’s memory beginning at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
