Sock Hops to be held on the 3rd Friday of each Month at Val Riess Complex.
St. Bernard Parish Leisure Program hosted a Sock Hop on May 19th at Val Riess Complex. The kids danced their socks off in the dance off. The Leisure Program will host Sock Hops on the 3rd Friday of each month from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. through the month of August. The next Sock Hop will be held on Friday, June 16th where there will be a Limbo, Dance and Lip Sync Contest. All sock hops will be held at Val Riess Sports Complex / Hall of Fame Building, located at 1101 Magistrate Street in Chalmette (End of Palmisano). Children ages 9 – 13 can attend at a cost of $5.00 each. Children will NOT be allowed to come in and out. All children must be picked up by 9:30pm. Police Officers and Chaperones will be on site.
NO DROP OFF- Parents/Chaperone must come in to sign in child(ren)and must have I.D. when picking up child(ren). As always, there will be a D.J. and extra fun. Pizza, drinks, candy and other concessions will be available along with NEW and EXCITING items such as glow rings, and glow batons and emoji’s.
