Susan Imhoff Dakin

Susan Imhoff Dakin passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the age of 60.  She was the beloved mother of Chantelle Dakin (Jacob Landry) and Kayla D. Steel (Matthew). Step-mother of Brandy Robertson (L.J.), Jennifer Barber (John), Rebecca Bates (Anthony) and Robert “Bobby” Dakin Jr. (Heather).  Daughter of Joyce Casanovas Risbourg and the late Charles Imhoff.  Sister of Charles Imhoff (Marsha), Joy Risbourg and Amy Ola (the late Kenny). Proud grandmother of Arabella Landry, Loclynn Steel and Paisley Steel. Step-grandmother of Chase, Trae, Emma, James and Logan. Aunt of Devin Risbourg, Kelley Ola and Kenny Ola Jr. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and especially Gretchen Ballard, Annabel Imhoff and Patty Brown.

Susan was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was well loved and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart. She will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and a friend of many who was always on the lookout for a good garage sale and treasured her friends and family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, July 22nd from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service in Susan’s memory beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Her burial will be private.
