Audrey Mae Saigeon

Audrey Mae Saigeon passed peacefully at home, at the age of 67, on July 6 2017.  She was the beloved wife, for 46 years, of Byron J. Saigeon, Jr., beloved mother of Scott C. Saigeon and beloved grandmother of Bronx J. Saigeon.  She is survived by sisters, Jo Ann Francois and Marie M. Heck (Brian), brother William Miller (Mary) and sister-in-law Kathleen S. Solis (Roger).  She was the Godmother of Jamie M. Heston. She is also survived and fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis J. Miller and Gloria D. Miller, grandparents William Detiveaux, Inez Detiveaux, William Miller and Marie Miller, in-laws Byron J. Saigeon, Sr. and Ella Mae Saigeon, and sister-in-law Barbara S. Fontaine.

Audrey was a native of New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Slidell, LA following Hurricane Katrina. Audrey retired from the State of Louisiana, Office of Health and Human Resources.

Audrey was well loved, and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart.  She will be deeply missed by her family and numerous friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, July 12th from 10:00 a.m. – noon, followed by a funeral service beginning at noon.  She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
