St. Bernard Parish 4-H Jr. Leader Club Members attended 4-H University

St. Bernard Parish 4-H Jr. Leader Club Members attended 4-H University on the LSU Baton Rouge Campus June 21-23, 2017. 4-H Members participated in competitive contests in Child Development and Public Speaking. Destinee’ Billiot placed 10th in the Child Development Contest and received a Blue Ribbon. Other 4-H members participated in Clover College which offers non-competitive educational tracks designed to provide information to youth about career choices, leadership development, healthy living, and science and technology.

Elena Templet was elected to serve as the Southeast District Representative on the Louisiana 4-H State Executive Board. Her responsibilities included attending planning meetings for state wide 4-H events through out the year and providing leadership for Jr. Leadership Conference and 4-H University.
