The guest speakers at the August 8th meeting of the Kiwanis Club of St. Bernard were St. Bernard Sheriff James Pohlmann and Stanley Simeon. This July, Sheriff Pohlmann started an Addiction Resource Program headed by addiction specialist Stanley Simeon. The sheriff and Mr. Simeon invite all to learn more about their Addiction Resource Program, a program that will provide help if you suffer from alcohol addiction, substance abuse, or gambling & life controlling problems. Help can be in the form of detox, counseling, rehab, or simply finding the right place tailored for you. The goal of the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is to contact the right person (or their family) that is suffering from addiction with the appropriate resources. Since July 20, families have received help from the Addiction Resource Program.
