The Saints will take on the Houston Texans this Saturday, August 26 at 7:00 PM in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. All gates at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome open at 5:00 PM, with the exception of Gate A Ground Level, which opens to Suite and ADA patrons at 4:00 PM. Champions Square will also open at 4:00 PM, along with club XLIV & Opening Act.
To assist fans in preparing for the game, SMG is pleased to provide the following information about the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and Champions Square.
NEW NFL SECURITY MEASURES

WALK-THROUGH METAL DETECTORS
As mandated by the NFL, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome will now use walk-through metal detectors during Saints games at all entry gates to enhance safety and security.

The State of Louisiana bans the possession of guns on the premises.
NFL BAG POLICY
The NFL “clear bag” policy remains the same. All bags are prohibited other than clear vinyl bags no larger than 12” X 12” X 6” or a One-Gallon Ziploc bag (limit 1 of either). Small clutch bags no larger than 6.5″ wide X 4.5″ high, with or without a handle or strap, may be taken into the stadium in addition to one of the clear bags.
Please have approved clear bags open and ready for screening. Express lanes are available at all entrances for guests without bags.
Non-clear diaper bags are prohibited. A clear diaper bag (no larger than 12” X 6” X 12”) is permitted. Each family member, including children, is allowed to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse into the stadium. For more information on this policy, click here.

PREGAME AT CHAMPIONS SQUARE
Get your game face on and join us in Champions Square, club XLIV, and Opening Act before the Saints kick-off in the Dome! It’s free and open to the public 3 hours before every Saints home game. Your Champions Square experience will include live entertainment, frosty drinks, and delicious food.

club XLIV is an indoor lounge featuring high-end furnishings, flat screen televisions, and a premium bar, and is conveniently located next to the stage in Champions Square. Opening Act, adjacent to the Square, is an additional option for your Saints game day experience that offers tasty food for purchase. It’s a great spot to have a drink, watch NFL pregame shows, and the game!
In addition to the great food and beverage offerings available for purchase throughout the Square, popular food trucks Cajun Corner, Diva Dawg, and Centerplate’s Streetcar Eats will also be in attendance.
Live entertainment will also return to Champions Square to get fans ready to cheer on the Saints. This week, Uptown Phunk will excite fans with musical entertainment on the Champions Square stage.
NOTE: Outside beverages will not be permitted into Champions Square on Saints Game Days.
