Sheron Dufour Mayeux entered into heaven on Sept 14, 2017 at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Roland J Mayeux Sr., her parents Clebert Dufour & Nazie Mayeux; her son-in-law Nelson Burchfield, and her siblings Freddie, Juanita and lrma. She leaves behind her beloved children Ramona Smith (Dennis), Janet Burchfield, Marie Trewin (Winston), Roland J. Mayeux Jr. and Sheron “Lee” Nouis (John). She was the proud grandmother of Jayme, Beau, Kayla, Meghan, Rachael and Courtney, along with her great grandchildren Gabriel, Brody, Avery and Noah. She will also be fondly remember by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Sheron was born in Plaucheville, La and resided in Chalmette, La for 60 years where she enjoyed a long career with the St. Bernard School System. She was a devout catholic, she loved saying her rosary and reading novenas. She will be deeply missed and forever remember as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who treasured her family and loved family gatherings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 2320 Paris Rd, Chalmette, LA on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral Mass beginning at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
