Renee Therese Fahr Cady was called home to Jesus on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at the age of 67. She was born on Tuesday, June 13, 1950 in Teaneck, New Jersey. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Renee was a graduate of the University of New Orleans and a retired teacher from Ponchatoula High School and Arabi Park Middle School.
Renee is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Francis Forrest Cady, Jr.; son, Sean Cady; daughter, Lesley Cady Prochaska (Chris); siblings, Walter Fahr (Maggie), Richard Fahr (Sandy), Jean Fahr, and Mignon Fahr; and her grandchildren, Shane Cady, Emeline Prochaska, and Ferris Prochaska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edyth Newell Fahr and Robert Halliday Fahr; maternal grandparents, Emeline Robert Newell and George Elmer Newell; paternal grandparents, Walter Gastane and Emma Meeks Fahr; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Bazile (John).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Rosaryville Mausoleum, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
