The St. Bernard Kiwanis Foundation held its annual meeting on September 26, 2017 at Rocky and Carlos’s Sicilian room and held it’s elections. All officers are serving a two year term and the two open board positions were elected by the members. Sam Catalanotto and Michael B. Chutz were installed as the two new board members and will serve a three year term. Kiwanis Club and Foundation member Gregory Rome is also a board member of Batture Park, Inc., a charitable organization started by Jacky & Lynn Dean to support charitable organizations in St Bernard Parish. The St. Bernard Kiwanis Foundation received a check for $5,000 from Batture Park, Inc. The St. Bernard Kiwanis Foundation would like to thank the Dean’s and Batture Park, Inc. for their support and all the great things they do for St. Bernard Parish. These monies will be added to the endowments held in the Kiwanis Foundation with proceeds from these funds going to support youth programs in St. Bernard Parish.
