Chalmette Elementary recently had the St. Bernard Parish Fire Department come to their school to teach students about fire safety. Students learned what to do when faced with a fire, learned about a fireman’s equipment, and even tried some of the equipment on.

Students learned what do if they are ever trapped in a fire by going through the smoke house.
