Ruth Juneau Romano

Ruth Juneau Romano passed away on October 30, 2017, at the age of 96. Ruth was born in Echo, Louisiana to the late Willis Juneau and Daisy Ferry Juneau. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Romano. She is the loving mother of Charles Romano (Crystal), Ruth Romano Stone (Robert) and Michael Romano (Candy); grandmother to Jeffery Romano (Benita) and Tiffany San Miguel (Michael) and great-grandmother to Catherine and Christian San Miguel and Bryce and Braeden Romano.

Ruth evacuated from Arabi to Alabama after Katrina where she spent ten wonderful years making many new friends, including her best friend and neighbor, Joan, who enabled her to live alone and maintain her independence. She moved to Lacombe in 2013, where she resided with her son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Candy. There are not enough words to describe the family’s gratitude to Candy for the love and care she gave to our mother as her caregiver over the last four years. Ruth loved her family, friends, marguerites, dogs, and cats. She enjoyed gardening, reading, walking and socializing with her neighbors.
