St. Bernard Parish Government, Housing and Redevelopment accepting applications for Thanksgiving baskets

Applications accepted November 13^th – 14^th. Applicants must apply in person.

St. Bernard Parish Government CSBG Program will be accepting applications for their Thanksgiving basket giveaway for the elderly and disabled low-income residents in St. Bernard Parish. The department will be giving away baskets to those who qualify under the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program guidelines. Applications will only be accepted on Monday, November 13, 2017, and Tuesday, November 14, 2017, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Housing Office, located at 8201 W. Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette.

All applicants must complete an application and provide the following required documentation:

Driver’s License or State ID for all household members over the age of 18
Social Security cards for all members of the household
Verifiable Proof of Income for all household members over the age of 18
Current Award Letter for food stamps (if applicable)

**Anyone in the household over the age of 18 who is unemployed will be required to complete and sign a “Zero Income” form with a referral to the St. Bernard Workforce Commission in order to be processed.

Applicants must have all documents present, no exceptions. Baskets are limited and will be disbursed November 20^th & November 21^st from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
