Peoples Health partnered with the Second Harvest Food Bank and Community Kitchen to help local seniors celebrate Thanksgiving in the spirit of giving back to the community.

Volunteers from the organizations prepared more than 890 Thanksgiving meals and 730 snack bags at the Second Harvest Community Kitchen to distribute to local seniors during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Peoples Health is the proud sponsor of the 7th annual Second Harvest Food Bank’s Thanksgiving and Holiday Meals for Seniors program. The food is prepared at the Second Harvest Community Kitchen and distributed to locations across the Greater New Orleans area, as well as sites in Lafayette, Lake Charles, and the bayou region.

“We are committed to the communities we serve and understand the challenges many seniors face throughout the year but also during the holiday season. Through these Thanksgiving meals, we are able to highlight the need to support our seniors,” stated Nick Karl, Chief Marketing Officer at Peoples Health.

Through this sponsorship, Peoples Health is proud to support local seniors and bring awareness to senior hunger issues in the community during this holiday season.
