Covenant United Methodist Church has scheduled a delicious meal for Saturday, January 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The meals may be picked up at the Church located at 115 East D’Amour Street at the corner of Paris Road in Chalmette.
The meal will consist of pulled pork prepared by a Grand Champion cook Gerry Vallee. Gerry has been in cook-off competitions in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi where he was recognized as a Grand Champion for nine times. A Grand Champion must be tops in three areas of competition for pulled pork, ribs and chicken. His very own secret recipe will delight your taste buds. To complete the menu, there will be tasty coleslaw, delightful baked beans, a bun, a mouth-watering dessert, and a drink of your choice. All of this for a ten dollar donation. At least 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the Project Graduation of St. Bernard Parish for their worthwhile work.
For sizable orders by businesses and individuals, delivery will be available from the Western Parish line down to the Violet Canal.
