Mary DiSalvo Licciardi

Mary DiSalvo Licciardi passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, February 11th, 2018 at her home in Meraux, Louisiana, at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her loving husband James Joseph Licciardi, son Louis and parents Louis and Elizabeth Garvey DiSalvo.

Mary is survived by her children, Patricia, Anthony (Etta), James, Jr (Carol), and Charles (DeeDee) Licciardi and Mary Ann Navo (Ben).

Mary is survived by 16 grandchildren, Lester (Sherrie), Michael (Mary) Klotz, Katherine Weaver (Todd), Colin Odinet, Tony (Christie), Jason (Stacey), James III (Vicki), John (Kelly), Lance (Karen), Carrie Licciardi, Kristy Fuetes, Charles, Jr (Andrea) Licciardi, Jamie Hargis (Carl), Juli N Austin (Danny), Lori N Schultz (Brian, Jr) and Ben Navo Jr (Lydia).

She is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her siblings Philip Sr, Louis, Thomas, Joseph, Patricia DiSalvo and survived by Rita Heuer.

Mary was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of St. Bernard Parish for the past 72 years. Mary was a cosmetologist for 20 years. She was a member of the Jubilees, AARP #3688, and was a past queen of the Krewe of Lourdes. Mary and her husband loved to travel, play golf and bowl. She was a very talented and creative seamstress, stain glass artist, and she loved to garden. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2320 PARIS RD, in Chalmette from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, followed by a Mass in her honor, at 1:30 PM.
