Lorena Jaunet Hartenstein passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2018, at the age of 89. She was the cherished wife of 50 years to the late Joseph A. Hartenstein. Loving mother of Dennis Hartenstein, Judy H. Desmore and Jack Hartenstein. Devoted mother-in-law of Barry Desmore and Dianna Hartenstein. Daughter of the late Rene and Catherine Jaunet. Sister of Rene Jaunet and the late Catherine Nicaud. Proud grandmother of Barry Desmore Jr., Dawn Desmore, Tracy H. Ragan and Jack Hartenstein Jr. Great-grandmother of Gavin Desmore, Katelyn Barlow, Kyleigh, Desmore, Nick Ragan, Emma Hartenstein and Logan Hartenstein. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was well loved and affectionately known for her good nature, generous heart and caring for her family. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, February 20th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service in Lorena’s memory beginning at 1:00 PM.
