Chew Rouge Foods will be hosting a grand opening celebration Friday, February 16th at 4:00 p.m. with a crawfish boil to follow at 5:00 p.m.
Chew Rouge is located inside Pirogues Whiskey Bayou, in Arabi, at 6940 ST. Claude Ave.
We Are aiming at delivering high quality, Cajun-inspired comfort and bar foods in this already clean and relaxed setting. We do creative versions of familiar bar snacks as well as sandwiches and burgers and more.
Just a few short weeks ago we formed our company. We are three partners and friends. Scott Maki, a long time New Orleans chef( Emerils, Luke, Rambla, Bayona, Mondo, Feelings Café), recipient of Times Picayune’s Chef to Watch in 2009, winner on food networks CHOPPED in 2017 and participant in the American culinary federations Best Chefs of Louisiana in 2018.
Maki is joined by business partners Derek Penton-Robicheaux and Kory Poole, together we own and operate Chew Rouge.
