St. Bernard Parish President Guy McInnis, Councilmembers Kerri Callais, and Nathan Gorbaty were on hand for the Grand Opening of CrossCountry Mortgage in Chalmette. CrossCountry Mortgage, located at 908 W. Judge Perez Drive, offers home loans for purchases and refinances.

Arabi native Dwayne Stein is the owner of the company and Claude Maher, Jr. is the Branch Manager. Mr. Maher is a lifelong resident of St. Bernard, serves as Treasurer for the St. Bernard Home Mortgage Authority, and volunteers his time coaching with the Recreation Department. “We opened an office down here to let the good people of St. Bernard know they have options when it comes to home loans,” said Maher. “We believe that anyone that wants to buy a home deserves a chance to and we take it personally when it comes to helping residents plant their roots down in our Parish.” District B Councilman Nathan Gorbaty was on hand for the ceremony and had this to say “I think it’s fantastic to see St. Bernard residents convincing their corporate office to open a satellite office in our Parish. We need more companies to follow this model of success.”

CrossCountry Mortgage is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information contact (504) 207-7600, or visit them on the web at www.crosscountrynola.com or www.facebook.com/CrossCountry2401/.
