Josie Pizzolato Bellina

Josie Pizzolato Bellina, a resident of Chalmette, LA, for 80 years before relocating with her family to Mandeville, LA, peacefully passed away at her home on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 93 years of age.  After dedicating over 30 years of service to the educational field, she retired from the St. Bernard Parish School System.  Over the years, she became very involved with Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was an active member of their Rosary Guild Ministry.

Josie was the beloved wife of the late Philip Vincent Bellina and devoted mother of her two children and their spouses: Barry John Bellina (Cynthia “Cyndi” L. Bellina) and Bernie Bellina Taylor (Edward W. Taylor).  Josie is also survived by her four grandchildren and their spouses: Brandan “Brandy” Rose Bellina, Rory Vincent Bellina (Danielle L. Bellina), Tina Taylor Abbey (Timothy Abbey), and Tara Taylor Hernandez (Matt Hernandez) and three great-grandchildren: Jackson Reid Bellina, Lila Grace Bellina, and Charlotte “Charlee” Cate Bellina.

The family will receive friends at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Covington, 501 Holy Trinity Drive, from 10:00 am until 11:30 am on Monday, February 19, 2018.  A mass will be celebrated immediately following at 11:30 am.
