Zachary Tatum is 9 years old and the son of Faith and Glenn Tatum of Chalmette. He is in 4th grade and is homeschooled.
He trains twice a week for 3 hours each at All Star Gymnastics where he is a member of the level 4 Men’s gymnastics team. Zachary was just recently invited to join their team in late November and is already doing amazing at competitions!
Last week Zachary competed in 2 different competitions, and he placed 1st all-around at both.
- Nola National Invitational was held at the Alario center on Jan 28. He placed 1st all around, 1st rings, 1st parallel bars, 1st high bar, 2nd vault, 2nd floor, 2nd pommel horse
- Special guest 2 time Olympian Jake Dalton.
- Riverboat Classic at Gymnastics Plus in Slidell on Feb 2nd. He placed 1st all around, 1st rings, 1st high bar, 1st parallel bars
Zachary is looking forward to his next competition, the Louisiana Men’s State Championships, which will be held in Baton Rouge in March.
