Patricia Pintado Trapani, age 72, passed away in Hammond, LA on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. She was the beloved wife, for 54 years, of Paul A. Trapani, Sr., mother of Paul A. Trapani, Jr., Tiffiney Eason (Mark) and the late Craig M. Trapani, and is survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Edward Pintado, Susan Landry, Gail Ainsworth (Dean) and the late Carol Poole (Jimmy), and was the daughter of the late Bruno Pintado and Ida Doyle Pintado.

Pat was born October 5, 1945, in New Orleans’ Irish Channel, lived there for 30 years, moved to Chalmette in 1973 and lived there 30 years, then moved to Hammond, LA after Hurricane Katrina, and lived there 12 years. Pat attended St. Alphonsus grade school, and Redemptorist High School, where she graduated in 1964. Pat loved her husband and family and was a wonderful person. She always had a smile on her face, never got mad, and was always happy. She loved to make new friends at ballparks or schools her kids attended. She was a self-taught, very good cook, and loved cooking for her family. She also loved the camp life in Little Woods, where family and friends would meet. Pat and Paul caught so many crabs together that they would say to each other, “When we die, just take our ashes and dump them in Lake Pontchartrain by the camp.” Pat was involved with Old Archbishop Hannan High School, Chalmette High School, the Krewe of Thoth, and the Pharoah’s Club. Everyone loved her, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
