St. Bernard Parish Annual State of the Parish Luncheon to feature Governor John Bel Edwards

The St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with St. Bernard Parish Government, is hosting its Annual State of the Parish Luncheon on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center, 8245 W Judge Perez Drive, in Chalmette.

The luncheon will feature opening remarks from Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards, along with a featured “State of the Parish” presentation by St. Bernard Parish President, Guy McInnis. The theme of this year’s luncheon is “Building a Better Tomorrow Together,” and will showcase some of the parish’s accomplishments from 2017, along with goals and benchmarks that St. Bernard Parish Government has set for this year.

“Governor Edwards’ visit comes at the heels of a very exciting time in St. Bernard Parish,” says Cathy Alfonso, Chief Executive Officer for the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce. “It’s truly a testament to the progress we’ve made within St. Bernard Parish over the last few years, with a tremendous credit due to St. Bernard Parish Government and President McInnis. The State of the Parish Address will be a great way to get a birds-eye view of everything we have going on in St. Bernard.”

Registration for the event will be open until Friday, April 20, space permitting. Tables of 10 are available for $400, and individual registration cost is $45, with a special rate for St. Bernard Chamber members at $40. Register online at www.stbernardchamber.org.
