Giuseppina Carsidona Miserendino passed away at her home on Friday, April 20, 2018, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late Calogero Miserendino for 50 years. Loving mother of Maria Antoinette Miserendino, Josephine Miserendino Dietz (Lucian), Ninetta Miserendino Dorsey (Donny) and Salvatore Calogero Miserendino. Daughter of the late Salvatore Carsidona and Antonina LaRosa Carsidona. Sister of Angela Carruba, Nina Carsidona, Caterina Carsidona and Mauro Carsidona. Proud grandmother of Francesco DiCristina, Calogero DiCristina, Christina Duplessis, Mariella DiCristina, Gabriella Dorsey and Andrew Dorsey. Also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Giuseppina was born on March 31, 1944, in Santa Caterina Villarmosa, Sicily and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
