Old Arabi hosts “Sippin’ With Ya Mom and Dem”

Families and friends enjoy Sippin in the Sunset at the Aycock Barn in Arabi.

The Old Arabi Neighborhood Association invites you to kick off Mother’s Day weekend with this month’s Sippin in the Sunset on Thursday, May 10 from 6 – 9 pm at the Aycock Barn in Old Arabi.

Back by popular demand is Kenny Kerth Jass, the musical quartet that made its public debut in March and is quickly becoming a sought-after musical experience.

Join the Jass at “Sippin” – one of St Bernard’s premier events. Part social and part marketplace, the event features music, food, art, crafts, and of course, beer, wine, an OANA’s signature sangria.

Katherine Lemoine, one of the coordinators of the event, invites everyone to celebrate Mother’s Day and the end of a school year.

She called Sippin’ in the Sunset the perfect opportunity to relax, eat, drink, shop and visit with friends.

“Besides great food and drinks, Sippin in the Sunset showcases talented local artists and crafters,” Lemoine said. “It’s a great place to get that special Mother’s Day gift.”

Now in its 6th season, Lemoine said the event continues to be a good time for a good cause, raising money for neighborhood beautification projects and community outreach.

“It promises to be a fun night, so bring your mom, your friends, and family and join us as we close out the spring season of Sippin in the Sunset.”

Kenny Kerth Jass will be back by popular demand.

Kenny Kerth will bring new tunes and high energy to the Aycock Barn when his Jass quartet takes the stage.
