Nick Diecidue II passed away on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at the age of 62. He was the loving father of Dominick Diecidue III (Jennifer Diecidue), Joseph Diecidue, and the late Matthew Diecidue. Longtime companion of Mary Pendergraft. Son of the late Dominico Diecidue I and June Cuccia Diecidue. Brother of Teddy Diecidue (Phyllis Diecidue) and the late Rickey Diecidue Sr. Proud grandfather of Halli Diecidue, Carter Diecidue and Camille Diecidue. Uncle of Nicole Dysart and Rickey Diecidue Jr. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many cousins, relatives and dear friends.
Nick was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He thoroughly enjoyed his long career as an electrician and had a family-like affection for his co-workers at the New Orleans East Hospital. But it was no match for his passion for shrimping and making meatballs and red gravy, a fondness which was only surpassed by his love for his grandchildren. Nick will always be remembered for his loyalty and dedication to his family, his good nature and generous heart. He was our pillar of courage and strength, and a wonderful example of what it means to care for others.
Relatives, friends and his extended family at the New Orleans East Hospital are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, May 18th from 6:00PM – 9:00PM. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony. To view and sign the Family Guestbook, please visit www.stbernardmemorial.com
