Chalmette High School seniors Emily Snyder, Dylan Fuselier, and Sophie Stechmann receive Voices Foundation Scholarships.

The Voices Foundation, a St. Bernard non-profit committed to educational and artistic programs, recently awarded three scholarships to Chalmette High School graduates who have shown continued public interest in the dramatic arts – Sophie Stechmann, Dylan Fuselier, and Emily Snyder.

Board members Katherine Lemoine, William Schneider, and Rose Sand presented the awards at the school’s recent Award’s Night.

Stechmann plans to study musical theatre and education, a career that combines a few of her favorite things – singing, teaching, and children. Fuselier will also join Sophie is pursuing a degree in musical theatre. Both of these outstanding performers were awarded Voices Performance Scholarships

Emily Snyder was given the Milton Sand Artistic Scholarship for her work in graphic design and videography. This award is named after Milton Sand, a Chalmette High School graduate who excelled in several artistic mediums.

All three of these students will attend Northwestern University next fall.

Lemoine said this year’s recipients were very deserving.

“Each one of these graduates are not only great performers but great students and more importantly, great people. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and know they will continue to make the parish proud.”
