Curole Receives All-Academic Honor

Nunez Community College baseball player, Dominic Curole, is the first in the team’s short history to earn the national honor of Second Team All-Academic from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Dominic was named to the All-Academic team for the 2017-18 academic year due to his performance both on and off the field. Dominic is an Industrial Technology student from Chalmette, with a 3.88 overall grade point average. He achieved a 4.0 GPA this past spring semester.

Becky Maillet, Athletic Director, said: “his enthusiasm and love for the game of baseball is contagious.” Dominic served as the team’s inaugural captain and was versatile on the field as a utility player. Offensively, Dominic led the team with a .345 batting average including 4 season home runs, 19 RBIs and an OBP of .452.
