The Performing Arts Academy will bring audiences a twist on the beloved fairy tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel in this summer’s production of Into the Woods.
Nearly a hundred students have been in production for the last several weeks to put on what surely will be another Broadway-caliber performance.
While some alum do make their way back to the summer stage, for many of this year’s Chalmette High School Voices graduates, this will be their last performance at the Cultural Arts Center.
Music Director Annelise Cassar said she has been working with many of the recent graduates for most of their young adult lives.
“All of these students have grown into incredible vocalists and actors. I could not be more proud of the performers and people they have become and look forward to seeing all they will achieve in college and beyond,” she said. “Come Into the Woods and see these incredible performers one last time.”
Into the Woods opens June 22 and the closing performance is July 1 at the Chalmette High School Cultural Arts Center. Performance times and dates are listed below:
