Southern Builders of Louisiana held a ribbon cutting in Meraux

Southern Builders of Louisiana held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 4101 Mistrot Drive in Meraux.

Council Chair/Chamber Chair Kerri Callais and District D Councilwoman Wanda Alcon, as well as State Representative Ray Garofalo and members of the St. Bernard Chamber and Economic Development Foundation, joined owners David and Julie Boihem and William Cummings.

Southern Builders is family owned with an extensive background in commercial and residential construction in southeast Louisiana. Currently, the company is building homes in St Bernard Parish with a focus on Meraux and Chalmette. “We have a beautiful home that is move-in ready located at 3108 Bradbury and two under construction located at 3004 Blomquist Drive in Lexington Subdivision and 4024 Mistrot Drive in Cypress Gardens,” said Owner William Cummings. “We are diving into the community by not only building high-quality homes but also working with local officials to bring new faces to live and raise their families here in St Bernard,” said owner David Boihem.

Southern Builders announced an upcoming seminar that is part two of a three-part series called “The Road Map Home” which will discuss the logistics of house plans, schedules and sub-contractor relationships with a comical twist. This seminar takes place on July 26th at 8:30 a.m.

There will be a Social Event on Friday, August 24th at 4:30 p.m., which is open to the public, followed by a Housing Showcase of our properties. Homes will be open for tours beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the Social at the Model Home until 7:00 p.m.
