Crane Operators Receive Certification

During the Coastal Conversations seminar held on October 23, 2018, on the campus of Nunez Community College, the first group of Crane Operators received their certifications from the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).

Those completing the training were Kendrick Gilmore Violet), Tate Mannino (Saint Bernard), Grant Molero(St. Bernard), Neal Ruffino (Meraux) and Caleb Anglin (Meraux).
Jessie Whittington, Personnel Development Manager with Weeks Marine, provided the keynote with a message focusing on related careers available in coastal restoration.

Coastal Conversations is a quarterly workforce development series designed by Nunez to bring attention to and discussion around coastal restoration efforts. The series will continue in 2019.
