The annual Christmas celebration of the St. Bernard Volunteers for Family and Community (SBVFC) was held at Rocky & Carlo’s Restaurant. It featured a festive lunch and enjoyable present swap game. Members reported on their participation in the “Adopt a Needy Family” project for the 13 parish schools. This year SBVFC was able to select two families from each school due to a generous grant from Valero Oil Refinery. Gifts for the children and a basket of food for Christmas dinner were delivered to the schools where parents picked them up and will bring joy to kids on Christmas morning. SBVFC is very grateful to Valero and Canseco Market which helped with the food baskets.
