Crazy Cajuns Fish Shack Celebrated Its Second Anniversary In January

Crazy Cajuns Fish Shack, a popular St. Bernard Parish eatery, recently celebrated its second anniversary this past January. Owner Rachel Lagarde opened the restaurant two years ago to provide fresh food without a long wait time for the residents and visitors of St. Bernard Parish.

Walking into Crazy Cajun’s, customers are greeted by the friendly faces of Lagarde and her team. While only open for two years, the restaurant has quickly become a favorite spot for the lunch crowd and in the evenings a convenient stop for busy parents who want a freshly prepared dinner for their families.

When Rachel opened the restaurant two years ago, she did it with the hopes of providing a simple menu of fried fish and shrimp recipes for the people of St. Bernard. Since then, her menu has expanded a bit with grilled fish and grilled shrimp options as well as new side items like boudin balls and crawfish pies.

The upcoming Mardi Gras and Lent seasons won’t give Lagarde very mush time to enjoy her restaurant’s anniversary. Between selling party trays for parade goers and serving Catholics on busy Fridays for Lent, Lagarde plans to be very busy.

“I love Mardi Gras and when people can enjoy Crazy Cajuns at a parade, it really doesn’t get any better than that for me” Lagarde explains “And also our parish has such a deep Catholic tradition, I am happy to help everyone have something good to eat and still obey the Lenten traditions.”

Crazy Cajuns Fish Shack is located at 3124 B Judge Perez Drive in Meraux, Louisiana. They can be reached by phone at (504) 702-8088. A menu is available at ccfishshack.com.
