The Community Center of St. Bernard has reopened at a new location, with a new mission, a new face and a new energy! The new facility is located at 6800 Patricia Street (corner of Patricia and Aycock) in Arabi.

The Center is continuing its commitment to helping the hungry in St. Bernard Parish by being a Second Harvest Food Distribution site. They are open 9:00 a.m. to noon on Thursdays for food distribution. They are also working on a food program to be implemented in the schools to replace the “Back-Pack” program, with Second Harvest and the St. Bernard Parish School Board as well as a program for Seniors.

Other projects in the works are re-establishing our computer lab and offering assistance with filing out documentation and registering for SNAP and Medi-Care as well as assisting those with basic literacy skills needs.
