On February 8th, Chalmette Elementary 3rd graders had their annual project night. Students and their families were invited to come to the school to work on their “Solar System” project. Supplies and resources were provided at no cost and teachers stayed late to help students with their projects, as well as create an ever-growing rapport with parents. Chalmette Elementary offers project nights throughout the year for grades 1st- 5th.
Many families showed up to work on their projects together.
Computers were provided to help students and families research information for their projects.
Project night allowed students to see teachers outside of the classroom and act silly together. Sarah Chaisson and 3rd grader, Talon Westberry, take a selfie to remember the fun night.
