Seventh Grade 4-H Club Members from N.P. Trist Middle School and St. Bernard Middle School participated in a two day 4-H Challenge Camp at the Lion King Retreat Camp in Amite, Louisiana. Groups of students worked together in teams to solve challenges that build leadership, team work, critical thinking and communication skills. Youth also participated in Healthy Living activities that taught youth about the importance of eating healthy foods and getting enough exercise. Participants also had time to explore some of the camps nature trails, roast marshmallows over a campfire, and meet 4-H members from other parishes in Southeast Louisiana.
