Statewide Burn Ban has been lifted

State Fire Marshal, H. “Butch” Browning and, Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner, Mike Strain has lifted the statewide burn ban on outdoor burning that was issued on November 5, 2016. Effective November 21, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. outdoor burning will be allowed.

The burning will be subject to any and all state, local government or fire department regulations or laws. The public is urged to use caution in any activities involving outdoor burning. State Fire Marshal Butch Browning thanks the citizens for their attention and their refrain from burning during this ban. Many fires were prevented and thus lives and property were saved.
