Antoinette “Nette” Nuccio Colburn, age 79 passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Beloved wife of JMC Colburn Jr. for 60 years. Loving mother of David Colburn (Jamie), Christi Colburn and Lisa Colburn. Godmother of Samuel Portera (Jennifer). Grandmother of Ashley Colburn, Allison Portera, Coy-Samuel Colburn, Emily Colburn and Antonina Colburn. Lifelong friend of Sharon LaBauve. Daughter of the late Samuel and Dolores Nuccio. Mother of the late Tina Colburn. Sister of the late Dale Lossett and Paul Nuccio.
Nette was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and for many years called St. Bernard Parish her home. She carried with her a boundless enthusiasm for life. A devoted fan of Elvis, and a frequent and fond visitor of Walt Disney World, where the magic of her spirit always found a fitting backdrop.
In every smile she shared and every memory she made, Nette’s joy of travel (she travelled the world multiple times a year at EPCOT) and devotion to her family shone through. Her family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who supported her through her care, her longtime physician Dr. Joseph Miceli and Nancy Price and the team at Omni Home Care, whose kindness and dedication touched all of our hearts. A memorial gathering will be held at a future date.
