Archbishop of New Orleans Gregory Aymond joined Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church-Violet Pastor Luke Nguyen for the ground breaking ceremony of the Our Lady of Lourdes Community Center on November 26, 2016. The multi-purpose center which will be constructed by Picou-Fradella Construction will house youth and adult Religious Education classrooms, the church parish administrative offices, ministry meeting and storage space, a kitchen, and a 2,700 square foot event hall to support church functions and available for rent to the community. Project completion is slated for October 2017.
