Gladys B. Nunez, age 87 years, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home in St. Bernard, LA. Beloved wife of the late Adam “Bubut” Nunez. Loving mother of Patricia Ann Nunez, Kathleen Marie Marinello (Santo), and Joseph Paul Nunez (Jonell). Daughter of the late Robert E. Barr and Anna Smith Barr. Sister of Blanche Kambourian (the late Steve), Willard Barr (Betty), and the late Louis H. Barr. Grandmother of Shelly L. Robin (David), Michelle N. Miller (Gregory), Brandi L. Marinello (Brian), and the late Adam Jason Nunez. Great grandmother of Kayla, Halie, Chelsie, Anasthasia, Gregory, Beaux. Also survived by her beloved niece, Jackie Nunez, her step-grandchildren Tammy Caro (C.J.) and Kim Brans (Jack), and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nunez was a retired employee of St. Bernard Parish School Board and formerly employed at Nicholson’s Supermarket.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
