Dardanella Preto Pajares, 96, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Brian Center in Hickory, NC. A native of New Orleans, she resided in St. Bernard, LA from 1951-2005 and Conover, NC since 2005. She was a member of the Perpetual Adorers of Prince of Peace Church in Chalmette, LA.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 41 years, Albert Roy Pajares; parents Raymond Preto and Leota Huber Preto; and brother Norwood Preto of Houston.
She is survived by son Terence Pajares and daughter Avis Camus; grandchildren Tony, Jay and Tiffany Pajares; greatgrandchildren Tori, Logan, Caleb and Chloe Pajares, Hayden Tucker, Jason Tucker, Jr. and Jesse Stephens.
