Annual Joint Meeting of Francois de Lery and Oliver Pollock DAR Chapters

Pictured at the Los Islenos Cutlural and Heritage Site are the members and guests of the Francois de Lery Chapter who hosted the Oliver Pollock Chapter for a tour of the complex. From l. to r,: Caron Codina, Bonnie Cook, Faith Moran, Deborah Dematteo, Fay Champagne, Gayle Farrell, Christyn Elliott and St. Bernard Historian Bill Hyland. Hyland gave a wonderful narrative tour of the complex of buildings and the ladies are pictured on the porch of one of the homes that Francois Chauvin de Lery built.

The Francois de Lery Chapter, NSDAR, hosted the Oliver Pollock Chapter of Kenner for their annual April joint meeting. The ladies then motored to Charlie’s Seafood to have a delicious lunch and conduct a short meeting where they remembered Gloria deValcourt Marcotte, long time resident of Arabi prior to Katrina, who passed away on April 4th and who was a Past Regent of both chapters.
