Rene Anthony Pecar passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the age of 31. He is survived by his newborn and cherished son, Joey Taylor Pecar. Beloved son of Francis C. Pecar and Sybil P. Pecar. Brother of Alan P. Blache, Kelly A. Blache and Lawrence A. Pecar. He is also survived and fondly remembered by his 4 nieces, 3 nephews, along with many cousins, relatives and dear friends.
Rene was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, honored with the National Defense Service Medal, Global War Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal and Enlisted Submarine Warfare Specialist. He also graduated from Kaplan Nursing College of San Diego, CA.
He was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal son, father, brother, uncle and a friend of many, who fought for his country and treasured his friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial Mass beginning at 1:00 p.m. with military honors. Burial will be private.
